Ballet Central showcase

BALLET Central comes to Bridport Arts Centre on 23rd and 24th June with a showcase programme and a new artistic director, Christopher Marney.

The performances, at 7.30pm on Friday and 2pm on Saturday, are an opportunity to see dynamic and talented young dancers on the cusp of their professional careers in newly commissioned works and celebrated masterpieces.

The repertoire features Indigo Children by Royal Ballet artist in residence Liam Scarlett, and a scene from Romeo and Juliet by former English National Ballet dancer Jenna Lee.

The programme also includes a specially created work by Christopher Bruce, excerpts from Petipa’s La Bayadere and The Nutcracker, and a scene from Dracula, choreographed by Michael Pink from the original production directed by Christopher Gable in 1996.
