EUGENE Hideaway Bridges, one of the US’s great bluesmen, comes to Gillingham School on Tuesday 14th November for a solo show.
He is the Jus’ Blues Music Foundation 2017 honoree for The Albert King Lifetime Award, “The Lucy Award”, for his outstanding contributions in continuing to keep the style of traditional Blues alive.
Born in New Orleans, Eugene is a towering presence – a big man with a huge voice and great guitar skills. He performs dressed in unique stage suits to his own design, topped with a stetson, and playing an unparalleled brand of blues.
From warm heartfelt soul songs he can switch to up on your feet and dancing tunes.
