Al’s calling time at Bath and Poole
COMEDIAN Al Murray, known for his Pub Landlord character, and for his enthusiasm and knowledge of history and astronomy, is coming to Bath Theatre Royal on Sunday 13th October and to Poole’s Lighthouse arts centre on Friday 1st November, as part of his first national tour for three years.
The new show, Landlord of Hope and Glory finds the always grumpy publican brooding on the mess of things – it’s a time of crisis, the world in chaos, the country divided as it has never been divided before. Questions have been asked and non-answered.
What we need is one man, to step forward, one man with all the answers. Well you’re in luck, ladies and gentlemen – he’s here and touring the nation.
Al Murray’s unique blend of satire, surrealism and observational comedy has been a regular fixture on stage and screen since the early 1990s, most notably with his hit shows Al Murray’s Happy Hour and The Pub Landlord. His current dates are his first live shows since 2016’s Let’s Go Backwards Together.
