HOW much do we know about the systems under which we live?
A one-man play that explores this issue, and which played to rave reviews at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe, comes to the David Hall at South Petherton on Saturday 15th September at 7.30pm.
Instructions for Border Crossing, which was produced at the ARC in Stockton on Tees, is written and performed by Daniel Bye.
A 12-year-old girl sneaks across the border of her own country. Her parents watch her on a computer screen. The works of a half-forgotten performance artist seem to hold the key to bringing down a brutal system operating on our behalf and under our noses. Do you join in? Or do you look the other way?
Petherton Arts Trust board member, Sarah Setter, says: “Instructions for Border Crossing combines Daniel Bye’s signature storytelling with live interventions from the audience. It is honest, witty, thought-provoking and topical.”
