Shakespeare ends AUB year

STUDENTS at Arts University Bournemouth have been rehearsing three plays for their end-of-term productions at the Wallisdown campus theatre.

The final production is  Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale, on stage at the AUB studio on the campus from Thursday 5th to Saturday 7th December, nightly at 7.30 with a 3pm Saturday matinee.

Hermione is the wife of Leontes, king of Sicilia, and she has just had a baby. Instead of excited welcome, Leontes has a psychotic episode and accuses his wife of infidelity, threating the life of his new daughter.

The play asks questions about love and loss, forgiveness and the importance of second chances.

This is a chance to see young actors at the start of their careers, studying at one of the country’s leading drama departments.
