BRISTOLIAN comedian Jayde Adams will be on home ground when she plays two gigs at the city’s historic Old Vic theatre, on 24th October. Jayde also brings her debut national tour of The Ballad of Kylie Jenner’s Old Face, to Poole’s Lighthouse arts centre on 28th October, and Swindon Arts Centre on 22nd.
The tour, which includes nine nights at the Soho Theatre follows a sold-out, critically-acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
For this new show, Jayde has packed away the sequins and glamour (for now) and dropped the show-stopping music numbers and glitzy costumes to reinvent herself as a ‘“successful independent woman person,” exploring what it means to be a feminist this decade,.
She is showcasing herself as an intelligent working class voice, inviting you to discover what it takes to be a real role model, while wearing the feminist wardrobe staple attire; the Serious Black Jumper™.
