Drummer Hodge at the Plaza

DORCHESTER’s 2014 community play Drummer Hodge is being shown in a one-off screening at the town’s Plaza Cinema on Friday 2nd August at 7.30pm..

Set in Dorchester at the end of the 19th century, Drummer Hodge was the story of three local families, the Popes, the Uffens and the Hodges, and the impact that the Boer War had on the town and the lives of these three families.

The event at the Plaza will be a chance to see the production on the big screen. Professionally shot during one of the performances in 2014, it will be a memorable celebration of the sixth community play, and will include a Q&A after the showing fwith members of Dorchesteer Community Plays Association..
