THE line-up for the 2019 Frome Festival has been announced, with the headliners including DJ Judge Jules, The Coral, Scouting For Girls and Cornish comedian Jethro.
DJ Judge Jules will be at an opening night party at the Cheese and Grain on Friday 5th July, with a ten-piece band, The Coral will be at the Cheese and Grain on Monday 8th, and Scouting for Girls at the venue on Friday 12th.
Danceworks, Jethro and The Drifters, in a post-festival event will be at the Memorial Theatre.
Some events are already on sale at their venue, before the official box office launch in May. Festival director Martin Dimery says: “Most festival events will go up for sale at our central Cheese and Grain box office from 19th May, but the major events are tied in to national tours and have to be announced earlier.”
Other festival venues include the Silk Mill, Cooper Hall and the Merlin Theatre, Christ Church, Holy Trinity and St. John’s, and several of the town’s pubs.
New this year will be a Comedy Crawl with comedians visiting bars and shops along Catherine Hill in rotation during the course of one evening.
The 2019 festival celebrates the 200th anniversary of JW Singer and the foundry that dominated the Frome skyline for many years, casting some of the world’s most famous statues.
