DEVON Guild of Craftsmen has gone virtual and the team is busy putting lots of exciting things to see and do onto the website, www.crafts.org.uk
Members have started to film “How to’ videos so you can get crafting. The Guild has launched an online shop selling craft kits to keep you creative while staying at home.
Makers taking part include the artist and printmaker Anita Reynolds who shows how to monoprint without a press. Watch the video and then have a go at your own monoprint and then share it with on Instagram @devonguildcrafts .
The Guild’s online shop has lots of craft kits to choose from for all ages and abilities. You can sew a felt llama or have a go at painting with watercolours.
Like so many arts organisations, the Devon Guild is a registered charity, with a large percentage of its income each year comes through workshops, the craft shop and café. A Guild spokesperson says: “We need to safeguard the future of our organisation so that we can continue the work we do.”
