May at the David Hall

SOUTH Petherton’s David Hall continues it’s May programme on Sunday 26th, hosting “a chance to dance” event with festival favourites Blackbeard’s Tea Party. Regulars at Cambridge Folk Festival, Cropredy Convention and Glastonbury, the band play a mix of traditional and original folk rock songs guaranteed to get the audience up on their feet.

The month ends with a gig by Steve Turner, a master of the English concertina and multi-instrumentalist who plays mandolin and banjo and accompanies himself on the cittern. He has played with many of the greats of the British folk scene, including Martin Carthy, Eliza Carthy and Nancy Kerr.
