SINCE 2005, Inside Out has been bringing “extraordinary events in extraordinary places” to Dorset, and it returned this year with four more, ending on 22nd September.
Camp Road Weymouth at 9pm on 20th and 21st September is the place to be to see Mark Anderson perform Furious Folly. Set in no-man’s-land at nightfall, a battlefield emerges. The audience is immersed in a barrage of light, sound, pyrotechnics and performance, all challenging the inhumanity and senselessness of conflicts pass and present. It is not suitable for those under 14 years old.
The final event is an installation, And Now, created by Wayfaring at Maiden Castle in Dorchester from 15th to 22nd September. Described as a journey of exploration, it uses local and found materials, and there will be parades, music, light and performance to transform the artwork into a rousing celebration.
