Jade Gall plays a Blue Note tribute

CLASSICALLY trained saxophonist Jade Gall comes to the Marine Theatre at Lyme Regis for a Jazz in the Bar evening on Sunday 16th September, exploring the music of a jazz soul legend.

The concert looks at the music of Stanley Turrentine, the Pittsburgh saxophonist who was a pioneer of the Blue Note soul jazz style. He played with many of the greats including Ray Charles, Max Roach and Jimmy Smith.

Jade Gall studied both at Dartington and the Royal Welsh College of Music. She has  become the go-to choice for many jazz, swing, soul and ska bands, and played at Glastonbury with Michael Campari and the Solar System.
