Kneehigh songs on tour

CORNISH-based Kneehigh Theatre has included bespoke music and songs throughout its life, and now composer and musician Jim Carey is touring a concert of the songs he wrote with the late Nick Darke.

With the eight-piece band The Saboteurs, he reimagines and recreates and  the music, songs and whirling words first heard at  Kneehigh productions, in a show entitled Riots and Lobsters.

Hear them at  The Ustinov Studio at Bath Theatre Royal on Thursday 16th May or Corfe Castle Village Hall on 24th May. There are also several dates in Cornwall.

And listen out for my favourite Kneehigh song of all time, from The King of Prussia:

I don’t know if there’s a god
He never showed himself to me
But I will keep an open mind
As long as lobsters swim the sea
