SHAFTESBURY Arts Centre brings its version of Little Red Riding Hood to the stage of its Bell Street theatre from 27th to 30th January and 2nd to 5th February, and tickets are selling fast.
Audiences are delighted that a pantomime is back on stage, and are keen to see this new version of the famous story, written by Tracey Rogers. Directed by Susan Grand and Joni de Winter, the production features Sophie Morgan in the title role, with Charly Belles-Smith as Mrs Hood and Martin Porter as Granny Smith.
Alex Chase is Professor Lupus, with Charlotte Berry as Jack the Woodcutter, Charles Dillon as Squire Ponsonby-Smythe, Daisy-Mai Booth as Lady Penelope, Jade Hall and Anthony Atwood as Smash and Grab and Bryan Farrell as Dr Jekyll. Jon Corrie plays Frank with Marie Stubbs as Stein. Dave Cromwell is Count Twothree, Eleanor Dillow is Countess Bloodlust and Rebecca Jobling is Mystic Peg.
Denise Baldwin, Sue Tabor and Jennifer Trenchard are the Doo-Waps and Arabella Acton, Isla Binns, Aimee Brawn, Bethan Truman and Gabby Wilson make up Red’s gang of friends.
There are performances nightly at 7.30, with matinees on Saturdays at 2.20 and on Sunday 30th January at 11am.
