Living Spit tell another tall Christmas tale

LIVING Spit, the Bristol-based comedy acting duo Howard Coggins and Stu Mcloughlin, follow up their uniquely batty retelling of “the greatest Christmas story ever told” with what they cheekily suggest is the “second greatest … etc” You can catch them in Dorset from 7th December.

They will be performing their hilarious, silly and tongue-in-cheek version of The Nativity at Bridport Arts Centre on Friday 7th December, Dorchester Corn Exchange on Saturday 8th and Sturminster Newton’s Exchange on Monday 10th, plus a date at the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon, on Sunday 9th, and then a two-week run at Bristol Old Vic, from 14th to 22nd December.

They describe the show as “the usual mix of silly songs, pitiful puppetry and more Biblical befuddlement than you can shake a figgy pudding at.”

It’s not for the faint-hearted (aka deeply religious with no sense of humour) but if you like a good laugh as well as the greatest story ever told (yes, it probably beats Dickens), it’s definitely a festive treat.
