THE annual International Agatha Christie Festival won’t be happening this year, but the organisers have launched a competition for young writers in Devon who are hoping to follow in the footsteps of the queen of crime, the world’s favourite crime writer who was born and raised in Devon.
The IACF 2020 Mystery Short Story Competition is inviting young writers to enter a short mystery story of no more than 1,000 words. There will be two winners, who will each receive an Apple iPad Mini™s.
The competition, which is free to enter, is open to children and young people who live or go to school or college in Devon.
There are two categories, for entrants aged between eight and 13 years on Sunday, 16th August 2020; and
entrants aged 14 to 18 on 16th August.
The closing date is 16th August – more information at www.iacf-uk.org
