CUMBRIAN brothers James and Stephen Hyde devised the idea of presenting Shakespearean classics set to music back in early 2015, and now their company, Three Inch Fools, is a firmly-established part of the summer open air touring season.
With a cast of actor-musicians, Three Inch Fools use a vast array of instruments, often played in unusual ways, to tell the famliar stories differently. This year they are touring two very different plays.
They will be in Bristol at Windmill Hill City Farm with their version of Much Ado About Nothing until Friday 7th June, and the tour also visits the Parade Gardens in Bath on 14th August, Barrington Court near Ilminster on 16th, Powderham Castle near Exeter on 20th and Dunster Castle on 24th August.
The second touring production of summer 2019 is Macbeth, which is in the south and west at The Courts Garden in Holt on 15th August, Highcliffe Castle on 18th, Castle Hill at Filleigh in Devon on 21st, Penlee Park Open Air Theatre in Penzance on 22nd and The Vicarage Garden at Great Torrington on 23rd August.
