Rebanks at Bridport

JAMES Rebanks won this year’s Wainwright Prize with his latest book, the compelling and important English Pastoral. He is a late addition to the impressive line-up for this year’s Bridport Literary  Festival, running from Sunday 7th to Saturday 13th November

Rebanks (pictured) will be in conversation with Elizabeth Wainwright, bringing the festival to a close on Saturday 13th at 7.30pm at the Electric Palace. He will be discussing how rural landscapes around the world have been brought close to collapse and the age-old rhythms of work, weather, community and wild things are being lost and how best to rescue them.

Two other nature writers coming to Bridport are Stephen Moss and Patrick Barkham – Moss will be talking about birds on Sunday 7th at 3pm at The Electric Palace, and Barkham will talk about a wild upbringing on Wednesday 10th at 4.30 pm in The Bull Ballroom.
