PUPILS from 12 Dorset and Hampshire schools will be on stage at the Regent Centre in Christchurch from Wednesday 15th to Friday 17th November, as part of the national Shakespeare Schools Festival.
This is the first time that the Regent has been invited to join the venues for the prestigious annual event, the world’s largest youth drama festival.
Nightly at 7pm, the students will be performing abridged versions of some of the Bard’s most famous plays, joining more than 30,000 students across the country in the event.
The schools on stage at Christchurch are:
Wednesday 15th November – Brockenhurst College, Victoria Education Centre, Glenmoor and Winton Academies.
Thursday 16th November – Baden-Powell and St Peter’s Junior School, Cranborne Middle School and Poole High School.
Friday 17th November – Priestlands School, Queen Elizabeth’s School, Blandford School and Twynham School.
