Reginald D Hunter is Facing the Beast

ONE of the most popular comedians in the UK, the American-born Reginald D Hunter is celebrating his 20th anniversary of living and performing in this country with a lengthy tour of his new show, Facing the Beast, which continues at Weston super Mare Playhouse on Sunday 12th and Yeovil’s Octagon Theatre on Thursday 13th June.

Reginald is renowned for his searingly honest material and for many appearances on television including Have I Got News For You, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown and his BBC2 series Reginald D Hunter’s Songs Of The South and Reginald D Hunter’s Songs Of The Border, documenting the growth of American popular song.

He doesn’t pull his punches, sharing his distinctive take on subjects including race and sexuality, often with brutal honesty. He is not afraid to be controversial and face challenging issues head-on, but his material is always meticulously thought out.
