THE exceptional group of trainee actors currently at Arts University Bournemouth have been set another challenge, in the form of two plays running together at Poole’s Lighthouse from Thursday 15th to Sunday 28th February.
The plays are Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar and Lillian Hellman’s The Children’s Hour.
Both plays are strangely relevant to the current world. Ken Robertson’s modern take on Julius Caesar emphasises the power of oratory on an under-informed crowd and the charisma of a star performer. The Children’s Hour, directed by David O’Shea, all about how unfounded accusations and careless whispers can ruin lives.
Both plays are on each day, at a 2.30 matinee or 8pm evening performance. For more information, visit the Lighthouse website, www.lighthousepoole.co.uk
