REMI Harris, whose skills as a gypsy jazz and blues guitarist have won him fans around the world, comes to the Pound Arts Centre in Corsham at 7pm on Thurday 23rd March.
“Incredible guitarist … I’m absolutely blown away by his talent,” says Jamie Cullum.
In 2016 Remi performed at the legendary Montreal Jazz Festival, played alongside the Bath star at the BBC Proms. His second album, In On The 2, was hailed by the critics and Remi played countless sell-out UK gigs last year.
Primarily self taught with the help of his Dad’s guitar magazines and records, Remi started playing at the age of seven, initially inspired by rock and blues guitarists of the 60s and 70s such as Jimi Hendrix, Peter Green and Jimmy Page. In his late teens he developed an interest in jazz, in particular artists including Django Reinhardt, Wes Montgomery and Stan Getz. Now he blends all those influences into his own individual style.
