Sarah on the road again

SINGER and songwriter Sarah McQuaid is touring again in the next couple of months, returning to the venues where her scheduled gigs were cancelled during successive Covid lockdowns.

She will be introducing her growing army of fans to the songs on her new album, The St Buryan Sessions.

“Every gig is a gift,” she Sarah as she prepares to perform what she describes as her “live-in-lockdown” album. Issued in 2021, it appeared on best-of lists on three continents and the Spanish-born, USA-raised singer who has adopted Penzance as her home town starts her tour on 20th January.

The St Buryan Sessions was recorded live and audience-free in the lovely medieval church of St Buryan, not far from Sarah’s home in rural West Cornwall.

Starting at The Acorn in Penzance, the tour also stops at the Phoenix Theatre & Arts Centre at Bordon in Hampshire on 4th February, the church of St Mary The Virgin at Twyford, near Winchester on Thursday 10th February and at  Winterslow Village Hall, near Salisbury on Friday 11th.  More dates will be announced later in the year, Covid permitting.
