Shanties and more with The Longest Johns

A FIVE-strong Bristol-based a capella group The Longest Johns make their Artsreach debut in January, starting at Burton Bradstock village hall, on Friday 18th at 7.30pm.

Brought together by a mutual love of traditional folk songs and shanties, the Johns rock maritime songs alongside the more unusual and less traditional folk tunes. After forming as a five-man group in 2015, they’ve taken their harmonies to new heights, while retaining the right mix of quality and hilarity.

Whether performing songs that are hundreds of years old, or their own original creations, the Johns bring a new feel to audiences wherever they go, all with a hearty cheer and a row-ho-ho!

Catch them at Burton Bradstock village hall,  01308 897421, on Friday 18th January and Shillingstone’s Portman Hall, 07870 972089 on Saturday 19th, both at 7.30pm.
