So now am I in Arden

THE all-male company The Lord Chamberlain’s Men was set up by Mark Puddle, shortly after he graduated from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and has since won fans and eager enthusiasts all around the country for its energetic, musical authenticity.

This year’s show is As You Like It, Shakespeare’s story of Rosalind, thrown out of the royal court by her jealous uncle, who disguises herself as a boy and heads fro the Forest of Arden with her cousin. There they not only fall in love, but observe at close quarters how the other half lives. It’s full of wit and wisdom and very well known speeches.

See it as part of Salisbury Festival at Rack Close by the Cathedral on Friday and Saturday 10th and 11th June.  The tour’s south western dates continue on Sunday 19th June at Swindon’s Theatre at the Bowl and Yeovil’s Octagon in the Country Park on Wednesday 29th June.  In July the Lord Chamberlain’s Men are at Brandon Hill in Bristol (22nd), Tyntesfield at Wraxall (23rd), Killerton House at Broadclyst (26th), Dunster Castle (27th), Kinston Lacy near Wimborne (28th) and Dyrham Park on Friday 29th.  The company comes back south for a performance at Breamore House on Saturday 27th August.
