BATH Theatre Royal will be packed to capacity next week when the hit musical SIX goes on stage. Only standby seats, returns and standing room are available for the whole run from Tuesday 18th to Saturday 22nd February, and SIX is already booked to return in the autumn.
It’s the story of the six wives of Henry VIII – familiar, but told in a way you’ve never seen before.
The live on-stage band, The Ladies in Waiting, play the themes of these famous women, who were divorced, beheaded, or dead.
SIX is how the Tudor queens turn into pop princesses, taking the mic to tell their own personal tales, remixing 500 years of historical heartbreak into a celebration of 21st century girl power.
The touring queens are Lauren Drew as Catherine of Aragon, Maddison Bulleyment as Anne Boleyn, Lauren Byrne as Jane Seymour, Shekinah McFarlane as Anna of Cleves, Jodie Steele as Katherine Howard and Athena Collins as Catherine Parr.
The show was first seen as a student production at the Edinburgh Fringe. Now it’s conquering the world.
Performances are at 8pm from Tuesday to Saturday, and also at 5.30 on Wednesday and Friday and at 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Contact the theatre for details of any tickets that become available, or book for the return visit when SIX is on the Theatre Royal stage again from Monday 12th to Saturday 24th October.
