BATH Theatre Royal has a line-up of stars and local favourites for this year’s pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, which will run from 12th December to 12th January.
Wendi Peters, a much-loved star of television and stage, will play Fairy Bon-Bon, alongside comedian Jon Monie, who has been delighting Bath audiences for many years, and Nick Wilton, who has won local hearts as a great dame, succeeding the late Chris Harris, who was one of the country’s greatest dames.
There is an extra dash of spice for this year’s show – the script has been written by Jon Monie, and was awarded Best Script at the Great British Pantomime Awards 2019 after receiving its world premiere at Blackpool Grand Theatre last Christmas.
With a cast of larger than life characters, side-splitting comedy, sumptuous costumes, fabulous scenery and a thrilling transformation scene, it is a traditional pantomime that should delight audiences of all ages.
Produced by UK Productions, Beauty and The Beast will be directed by Michael Gattrell who returns to the Theatre Royal after his hugely-praised 2018 production of Peter Pan.
