THE biennial 10 Parishes Festival in West Somerset, founded in 2003 to celebrate the creativity of Wiveliscombe and the surrounding area, returns in 2017, from 9th to 17th September with a busy programme of visual and performing arts.
This is the eighth festival, involving the parishes of Ashbrittle, Bathealton, Brompton Ralph, Clatworthy, Chipstable with Waterrow, Fitzhead, Huish Champflower, Milverton, Stawley and Wiveliscombe.
There are around 100 events – most of them free – including paintings, photographs, drawing, sculpture, jewellery, pottery, poetry, theatre, music, film, circus and much more. There are plenty of opportunities to have a go, or just appreciate other people’s talent and creativity.
