The rain in Salisbury stays mainly in the Studio Theatre

THE young members of Salisbury’s award winning and versatile Studio Theatre have chosen the Lerner and Loewe musical My Fair Lady for the spring production, on stage at the Ashley Road theatre from 17th to 22nd February, nightly at 7pm.

The arrogant Professor Higgins hears the excruciating vowels of a Covent Garden flower girl, and bets Col Pickering that he can pass her off as a duchess when he changes her speech.

This is the musical version of George Bernard Shaw’s play Pygmalion, and Studio Youth Theatre is getting ready for the Cockney knees-ups, Ascot gavottes and Embassy balls that are the big numbers of the tuneful, stylish and memorable show.
