BELSHAZZAR’S Feast, the folk duo of Paul Sartin and Paul Hutchinson, are out on their annual Christmas tour, and the next stop in our region is at The David Hall at South Petherton on Saturday 15th December.
The show mixes traditional folk music and seasonal material with a liberal dose of classical, pop and music hall, all topped off with audience participation and lashings of wry humour.
Paul Sartin, best known as a member of Bellowhead, is currently in the trio Faustus.
Paul Hutchinson’s love of fusion music originates from his days in the renowned Celtic jazzers, Hoover the Dog. Now he’s also in Pagoda Project, with Dorset based jazz clarinetist Karen Wimhurst.
Together they have released a series of critically acclaimed albums, and the latest is The Whiting’s On The Wall, a live album recorded over the course of two concerts at The Pound in Corsham.
Catch up with Belshazzar’s Feast this Christmas at South Petherton or at Whitchurch Folk Club at the Parish Hall on Tuesday 18th or at Keevil Village Hall on Saturday 22nd December.
