MESSUMS Wiltshire, based in the 700 year old tithe barn at Tisbury, is launching a series of online exhibitions, events, interviews, essays and virtual tours.
The impact of the coronavirus means people are “being asked to make previously unimaginable changes to our lives to keep us all safe,” says Johnny Messum, explaining that during the shut-down they will be “bringing our exhibitions and ideas to you directly whilst continuing to support our artists.”
The first of the virtual tours will be Beyond the Vessel, which will be launched on Saturday 28th March at 11am.
Filmed entirely by drone, this is a tour of the acclaimed ceramics exhibition Beyond the Vessel: Narratives in Contemporary European Ceramics, featuring works by Sam Bakewell, Giampaolo Bertozzi and Stefano Dal Monte Casoni, Christie Brown, Claire Curneen, Phoebe Cummings, Bouke de Vries, Kim Simonsson, Jørgen Haugen Sørensen, Carolein Smit, Malene Hartmann Rasmussen and Vivian van Blerk
