Where is the bride?

IT’s June’s big day. Time to crack out the bubbly, put on your best hat and take grandma’s pearls out of their case for a proper wedding – and the venue is St Mary’s Church at Winterborne Stickland on Sunday 30th April at 3.30pm.

The father of the bride is very happy, the groom is nervous, the best man is lost, the mother-in-law is disgruntled … but where is June?

Things could turn out very differently from the fairy tale ending everyone is hoping for. Gather the children, throw the confetti, and save room for cake; this is going to be one family wedding where all the drama happens to someone else’s family.

This performance starts at the church and moves through the village to the community hall, where a wedding tea will also be served.  Artsreach brings Surrey-based Theatre Exchange to Dorset with Our June’s Wedding, a site-specific play for all the family.

Our June’s Wedding is also being staged at the Shelley Theatre in Boscombe on 13th May at 3pm.
