Wisdom, wit and hope in Amelia’s play at the Swan

THE first production of 2022 at Yeovil’s Swan Theatre brings a new play to the region.  Di and Viv and Rose started its life at the Hampstead Theatre Studio in 2012, quickly making its way to larger venues.

Amelia Bullmore’s play is a warm, funny play about female friendship. Three 18-year-old women join forces for a an intense life of fun.
Together they feel unassailable.

Crackling with wisdom and wit, it’s a humorous and thoughtful exploration of friendship’s impact on life and life’s impact on friendship.

Amelia Bullmore is not only the acclaimed writer of TV favourites such as This Life and Scott and Bailey, but is also known as an actress, appearing as Steph Barnes in Coronation Street, Vicky Fleming in Happy Valley, DCI Gill Murray in Scott and Bailey, Kathleen Sutherland in The Crown and Eliza Priestley in Gentleman Jack, among many other roles.

She was inspired by elements of her early life when she created Di and Viv and Rose.

Performances at the Swan start at 7.45 from Monday 17th to Saturday 22nd January.
