Yola’s home at Fiddlers

WHEN Yola comes to sing at Fiddlers in Bristol on Saturday 1st June, the audience can expect a big voice and a repertoire that draws on gospel, soul and country.

Growing up in the Bristol with a sound that verges on Americana, she came to public attention after a barnstorming performance on Jools Holland’s Hootenanny, and will be introducing her fans to her new Dan Auerbach-produced album, Walk Through Fire.

Her melodious and powerful voice sounds a bit like Dusty Springfield, as you can hear at this standing  show, part of Colston Hall Presents.  The music starts at 8.30.
