SNADS Exchanging Cinderella

WHEN the Sturminster Newton Amateur Dramatic Society, affectionately known as SNADS, takes on the ever-popular pantomime Cinderella you can expect local jokes and references woven into the story of the abused step sister and her meeting with the prince.

The SNADS pantomime is rightly famous for its music, dancing, singing and storytelling – something so many professional pantomimes miss in these days of celebrities and innuendos. The Exchange version of Cinderella is written by Tania White with interference from Jack English, Jenny Powell and Toby Greenfield. Toby also directs.

The title role is played by Lina Felsa, with Hazel Perrett as Prince Charming, George Lipop as Buttons, Craig White and Martyn Lilley as Gertrude and Chantelle, the less and lovely sisters, and David Phillips as the dame, who has sort-of hidden agenda.

You can find out more at The Exchange in Sturminster from 13th to 15th February, nightly at 7.30 and with a Saturday matinee at 2.30, when you should listen out for the names of people you know from the area, as well as places in town and the surrounding country.

For more details, contact the Exchange or visit the website.
