Pinocchio’s adventures with Bumblefly

BUMBLEFLY (also known as The Travelling Players) returns this Christmas with a favourite story, Pinocchio, starting on 5th December. Like last year’s production of A Christmas Carol, it is another delightful festive show. The players bring their blend of quirky storytelling, song, merriment and mischief to the wonderful mis-adventures of Pinocchio! – the wooden marionette who wants to become a real boy.

Pinocchio has a nose that grows with each little fib. He is naive, stubborn, thoughtless and very easily led. Watch as he falls in with the rascally fox and cat, gasp as he flies on the back of a pigeon, marvel as he is swallowed by a giant shark, doubt as he waits for gold coins to grow on a vine and wonder as he is turned into a donkey … will he ever become a real boy?

With this show for all ages, the Bumblefly players promise action, music, surprises, a puppet or two, a lot of laughs and a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable adventure!

Pinocchio is a co-production between Forest Forge Theatre Company, Mischievous Theatre, and Bumblefly Theatre Company. The tour, supported by Arts Council England, begins at Carvers Clubhouse at Ringwood on Friday 5th December at 6.30pm, and continues around Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire, at venues including Moors Valley Country Park, the Palace Court Theatre in Bournemouth, Huish Primary School at Yeovil, Mere Lecture Hall, Broadchalke village hall, Alderholt village hall, and into the new year.
