TAKE your loudest singing voice, dress up in your finery and bring your flags to the church of St Gregory in Marnhull on Saturday 24th October, to join in the fun of the Last Night of the Organ Proms.
Organist and Music at St Greg’s organiser Gordon Emery, inspired by the famous Last Night of the Proms from the Royal Albert Hall, is bringing a little of that magic to North Dorset, with a programme packed full of rousing favourites, stirring melodies and plenty of opportunities to join in.
Much of the music will be played on the organ, and flag waving is highly recommended.
“After a wonderful series of autumn concerts, we’re pulling out all the stops (quite literally!) for a grand finale – and we’d love you to be part of it! Come along and have a wonderful evening! This isn’t a concert where you’re expected to sit quietly and behave yourselves. We want you to join in, make some noise and help us raise the roof of St Gregory’s!” says Gordon.
