Say happy (organic cheese) Christmas!

SOMERSET-based, certified organic cheesemaker Feltham’s Farm is producing its first organic cheese hamper for Christmas, bringing together some of the UK’s finest organic artisan cheeses and accompaniments to celebrate nature-friendly festive food and the farmers and makers behind it.

Curated by Marcus Fergusson and Penny Nagle of Feltham’s Farm, founders of the Organic Cheesemakers’ Network, the Great British Organic Cheese Hamper contains cheeses from England, Scotland and Wales, making for a perfect festive feasting centrepiece or gift for any cheese lover.

The selection features Feltham’s Farm’s own Lucky Marcel, a small and delicate lactic cheese that was named Best English Cheese at the Artisan Cheese Awards 2026, as well as La Fresca Margarita, which was named Best Fresh Cheese at the Virtual Cheese Awards earlier this year, and Gert Lush, Somerset’s untraditional take on Camembert.

The hamper will also include Renegade Monk, the soft, blue and ale-washed hybrid that has won a host of awards since it was launched in 2017, alongside Rebel Nun, its bluer, milder sister cheese.

From the other end of the British Isles comes an aged gouda from Callum and Jill Clark at Connage Highland Dairy in Inverness. A complex hard cheese with a creamy yet crystalline texture, Connage Aged Gouda brings sweet, nutty, caramel notes, as well as hints of grass and fresh milk from the Highland pastures.

From West Wales, the cheese selection is completed by Heritage Teifi, an extra-mature offering from the Savage family at Caws Teifi in Ceredigion, aged for two years to develop remarkable depth and intensity, with strong, savoury flavours complemented by notes of honey and butterscotch.

The hamper also includes organic fig and walnut crackers from The Authentic Bread Company in the Cotswolds, which comes from one of the few artisan organic biscuit makers in the UK and complements all the cheeses.

Feltham’s Farm will also include one of its condiments made on farm exclusively for these festive hampers, presented in 100ml jars. The range includes organic pickled bullace plum in raw apple cider vinegar with cinnamon and star anise, and organic crab apple jelly.

Although the overall consumption of organic food is rising year-on-year, the number of organic artisan cheesemakers continues to decline in Britain. This hamper has been created to showcase some of the multi award-winning cheeses that are still produced organically by the committed few.

Whether destined for a Christmas Day cheese course, simple Boxing Day lunch or under the tree of a cheese-loving friend, the Great British Organic Cheese Hamper offers a cheeseboard that does better for the climate, nature and health. For more information visit felthamsfarm.com
