A not-so-dumb blonde in Salisbury

LEGALLY Blonde, the hit film that starred Reece Witherspoon, is now a popular stage musical and is the summer 2023 choice for Musical Theatre Salisbury (MTS), at Salisbury Playhouse from 4th to 8th July.

The show, directed by Emma Clammer, is action-packed with memorable songs and dynamic dances. It follows the transformation of pretty blonde Elle Woods as she confronts stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.

Elle appears to have it all – but her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend, Warner, dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle charms her way into the prestigious law school.

With the support of some new friends, Elle soon realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.

Laura Simmons takes the demanding leading role of Elle Woods, with Josh Bradley as Emmett Forrest, Claire Parrett as Paulette Buonufonte and Kris Hamilton-Brain as Professor Callahan. The musical director is Liz Weager.
