A twisted Christmas with Owdyado

CORNISH theatre company Owdyado Theatre continues its tour of  Twisted Christmas, a series of darkly comic tales, at Stockland village hall in Devon on Sunday 17th December.

The show is a series of macabre mini plays, all with a festive flavour providing what the company describes as ” a deliciously depraved take on the holiday season!”

Featuring writers from Cornwall and across the UK, this new iteration of Owdyado’s twisted take on Christmas comprises eight original micro-plays, including how to buy the perfect gift for your unloved ones, the dark side of Christmas cracker jokes and why you should never turn your back on a panto dame…

Influenced by cult classics such as Inside No 9, The Twilight Zone and Roald Dahl’s Tales of the Unexpected, Twisted Christmas has been described by the veteran critic and commentator for The Stage, Lyn Gardner, as “nasty but nicely comic entertainment – in Owdyado’s twisted world nothing is ever as it seems.”
