SAMUEL Beckett’s black comedy masterpiece Endgame comes to the stage of Bath’s Ustinov Studio from 4th September to 4th October.
The new production is directed by Lindsay Posner, and stars Douglas Hodge and Mathew Horn as Hamm and Clov, with Selina Cadell and Clive Francis as the wildly eccentric parents.
In a bare room, Hamm, an old blind tyrant, is dispensing pearls of wisdom to his companion Clov. They cling stubbornly to their comic routine of mutual dependence, at the same time as doing their best to ignore the wheelie-bin-dwelling old couple.
Performances are from Monday to Saturday at 7.30, with matinees on Thursday and Saturday at 2.30 (20th September at 1.30pm). For more details, visit theatreroyal.org.uk
