Celebrating autumn in Dorset

“BEECH leaves, that yellow the noon-time,
Float past like specks in the eye;
I set every tree in my June time,
And now they obscure the sky …”

… wrote Thomas Hardy in his poem, Beech Leaves. Join folk singers and actors Tim Laycock and Alastair Braidwood at Dorchester Corn Exchange on Sunday, 15th November, for a Dorset Autumn Afternoon.

Celebrate the beauty of the changing seasons with a golden afternoon of delicious food, traditional entertainment and warm Dorset hospitality. Inspired by the spirit of a rural Dorset harvest home, this special event promises an unforgettable taste of autumn.

To add to the atmosphere, Dorchester Arts is joined for the event by these two popular artists who live and breather the music and folk traditions of the county.

The ticket price includes a hearty ploughman’s lunch, accompanied by plenty of liquid refreshment, with live traditional entertainment and charming country fair stalls. The event is a fund-raiser for Dorchester Arts.
