Dreamscapes at Sladers Yard

SLADERS Yard, the gallery and cafe at West Bay, takes us away from the dank and dreary days of February with an entrancing exhibition, Dreamscapes, running to 16th March.

The former rope factory, which is the base for the hugely acclaimed furniture designer-maker Petter Southall, is showing work which is imaginative, surreal, strange and beautiful.

It features paintings by Finn Campbell-Notman, who was the Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the 2023, Alfred Stockham, who spent seven years in the Royal Navy before becoming a full-time artist, and the late and much-missed Robin Rae, whose later landscapes have been compared with Edward Hopper’s paintings.

There are also wood carvings by David West and Petter Southall’s furniture.
