SUMMER Lodge, the luxurious country house hotel at Evershot, is closed until 25th January for major renovations in the restaurant, spa and kitchen. It is the first time for many years that the hotel, part of the Red Carnation group and a member of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux, has been closed.
When it reopens on 26th January there will be a special lunchtime promotion, for a three-course meal, plus glass of fizz on arrival, for £19.50. There will be two choices for each course, prepared from locally sourced seasonal produce.
Summer Lodge, under executive chef Steve Titman, has an unrivalled reputation for the quality, style and presentation of food, sourced from the finest regional produce, and a wine list that would excite the most knowledgeable wine buff.
Awards over the past few years include three times being Taste of Dorset Restaurant of the Year, the Best British Cheese Board at the British Cheese Society Awards in 2012, Most Prestigious Country House Hotel in 2013 and fourth in Conde Nast’s Readers’ Choice Awards for the top 25 hotels in Europe in 2014.
