Many Moons at Sladers Yard

MOTHER and daughter sculptor and collage artist Marzia Colonna and sculptor Fiamma Colonna Montagu are exhibiting together in a show called Many Moons,at Sladers Yard, West Bay, until 11th November.

Italian-born Marzia Colonna, one of this country’s leading sculptors, with an international reputation, is also a renowned collage artist and the exhibition features recent work. Fiamma is showing some of her powerful ceramic sculptures.

This is a rare and special exhibition, featuring work by two artists with individual and distinctive voices, but with a shared heritage from their relationship. Each is the author of large-scale projects and commissions and each has work in important collections in the USA and Europe.

Many Moons is a celebration of the years, of finding their personal paths, putting forward voices and ideas that are different but intriguingly compatible, with the pleasure of seeing each other’s work develop and often live side by side.
