BRAM Stoker’s iconic Count Dracula takes centre stage at Salisbury’s Studio Theatre in Ashley Road from 19th to 24th May, when the award-winning company moves en masse to the Transylvanian castle where the story begins.
English lawyer Jonathan Harker is invited to the castle, but he returns a changed man …
Linda Hayman directs Richard M Sharpe’s adaptation of the story, described as a vampiric roller-coaster ride. Paul Chalmers takes the title role, with Matthew Hodge as Harker, Andrew Ball as Dr Seward, Martha-Rose McKeown as Lucy Westernra, Martha Osment as Minna Harker, Simon Haseley as the mad prisoner Renfield and Alistair Faulkner as van Helsing. The various manifestations of Nosferatu are performed by five more members of the Studio company.
Performances start at 7.30 nightly. To find out more, visit the Studio website.
