SINGER and songwriter Sarah McQuaid has three more concerts before Christmas, over the coming weekend at Bemerton near Salisbury, Box and Swindon.
The Spanish-born, Chicago raised Cornish resident makes her second visit to two interesting venues – the renovated former church built in 1860 at Bemerton on Saturday 25th November, and the little performance space behind the 17th century coaching inn at Box on the following night.
Sarah has dual Irish and American citizenship and, according to PopMatters, “brings the eclecticism of her background to her “captivating, unorthodox songwriting.” Her choice of material, spans genres and defies categorisation. Her latest album and video, The St Buryan Sessions, demonstrates the range of her performances.
She has been touring the UK and United States for the past three months, with 59 shows including hometown gigs in both West Cornwall, where she’s lived since 2007, and in Chicago, where she spent most of her childhood.
